Structuring a Multidisciplinary Practice

Updated: 3 days ago

In November last year, HPCSA amended some of the Ethical Rules to officially allow Multidisciplinary Practices (MDPs).

While pathways to Multidisciplinary Practices (MDPs) have existed for some time, these new amendments promise to streamline the process and open the door to a wealth of fresh opportunities and innovative business models.

Join me for an insightful conversation with Jose Delgado, the esteemed director at Delgado & Associates Inc, as we delve into the intricacies of structuring a successful MDP. Our discussion will explore key questions that many professionals grapple with, shedding light on pivotal aspects such as:

  • Income Sharing: Strategising fair and equitable ways to distribute earnings among MDP members.

  • Expense Allocation: Managing and dividing costs effectively to ensure financial balance and transparency within the practice.

  • Voting Rights: Understanding the various options available for voting structures and decision-making processes within the MDP framework.

  • Incentives and Rewards: Crafting innovative schemes for bonuses, incentives, and dividends to motivate and reward exceptional performance.
